Interview: Cover girl Moh Dia (Paris, France)

Can you tell us a little about you and how did you start modeling?

My name is Moh Dia, I’m an afro-french model based in Paris, France. I started modeling when I was 19 years old thanks to a French model that told me her agency was looking for new faces, so I tried for fun at the beginning and started doing several castings and fashion shows in Paris and I’m still doing it.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I must say ... nothing. Actually I got used to my body this way, and I quite like it this way.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I love the work I’m doing. Working as a model us a great adventure! You have the possibility to change everyday your look and to meet so many people. I’m happy to be able to propose several attitudes and also to be part of great projects!

One good thing also is to travel. I speak several languages, and my work as a model allows me to speak to everybody and to interact with many people.

As long as I’ll be able to work as a model, I will continue.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

The major key to success for a model is to have good people next to them, to know their best profiles, and to know how far they want to go. One of the most important qualities for me would be to be humble, easy going, and to trust yourself.

What are some of you favorite experiences so far?

They are several project I did that I love, but one of my favorite would be the “Nefertiti project” with Audrey Bieber as photographer, Benjamin Rech and Nicolas Buton as co-models, Yvan et Linda Aguilera as Hair Dresser and Montecito Nail Bar – La Seyne for the nails and Martine Brun for the accessories/jewelry. It was such a great project with such a great team and such a great work, they really trusted in me to do a great Nefertiti!

I’m also proud of all the photo-session I did with so many talented persons that trusted me, but I cannot enumerate everyone.

I’m proud of everything I did in my modeling career and thanks to all of them for making my dreams come true.

What is your beauty regimen?

Getting some rest any time I need and eating when you’re hungry. Listening to your body indeed.

The beauty item I always use is my body lotion. Black people are subject to have dry skin, so I put my body lotion everyday in order to have a very good skin J

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

It’s quite difficult to answer to that question, but each team I worked with always told that I was very punctual, professional and a smily person, so I Guess these are some qualities that distinguish me for others today...

What are your plans for the future?

I have just signed a new contract with an Italian modeling agency, and I hope to work more overseas.

A german agency is also interested in my profile, so I might go there for some time and try to work in Germany as well.

Some futures plans: several shoots with amazing photographers in Paris, some editorial to be published in France (but I cannot say more for the moment)!

In January I should be on a very great fashion runway for a very talented French designer, I’m looking forward for that moment.

What do you think of the magazine?

The magazine is great, international and open to new faces and to allow people to discover them. I’m glad to be part of it, and hope it will last very long ! Long Life to Modellenland !

Thanks fof giving me the opportunity to be part of it and to represent your artistic point of view!
